Barbera d'Alba is a wine that wins on every table because of its excellent versatility. Barbera is thePiedmontese grape par excellence. The wine that has always been drunk. The wine used "to pay the bills". The product that represents at least half of the entire production of the region.

Barbera is a very pleasant wine, with an intense colour, clean aromas of red fruit, flowers and a hint of spice to make it intriguing. It has strong tannins, never too aggressive, a lean body - often nervous - andincredible acidity. So much so that it is considered one of the most acidic grape varieties, even though it grows in relatively warm areas.

Its strength is its drinkability. A light Barbera can be drunk as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to classic Piedmontese hors d'oeuvres, such as veal with tuna sauce, but also with simple cured meats. If you opt for more full-bodied Barbera wines(Superiori), aged in wood, they can also be served with more elaborate dishes, such as risotto with truffles, game or a tartare of Fassona with truffles.

The gastronomic combinations of Barbera d'Alba are infinite and if you are patient enough to experiment a little you will find the right one for every occasion.
